Lou, wake up you're in the playoffs!

Ahh, when the original baseball playoffs field opened up with the possibility of a Chicago-Chicago, LA-LA, Milwaukee-Chicago, and the small market showdown of a Milwaukee-Tampa Bay World Series, the immediate baseball future looked bright and the prospects of the east coast getting screwed out of a WS were high. Of course, with 4 teams left and three coming from the east, and the fourth being led by two former east coasters, you would think I am discouraged. Well I am not! I am actually looking forward to each of these series and watching good baseball. These teams are good and playoff baseball is good no matter what. They’ve each got balanced lineups and solid pitching. Great, I’ll be watching.

Speaking of balanced lineups and solid pitching, let’s take a minute to rip on the Yankees! We all love to do it. How pissed would you be as a Yankee fan sitting at home potentially watching the arch-rival Redsox take on the Dodgers with Torre and Manny? It’s like seeing the party you should’ve been invited to. And what’s more is that Cashman and Steinbrenner are like your dorky friend and your unfriendly, "I’ll do it my way!" father you’re counting on to get you into that party. Good luck with that.

Ok, signing off to watch TV. Can’t wait to hear another irrelevant story about how the Mets are doing in their 2-week-old off-season.
